More Cottage Stitching...
I’m taking a bit of a break from posting new tutorials for the rest of the summer…that doesn’t mean that I’m not planning new stuff…it just means that I’m working on new content for the fall. In the meantime I’ll leave you with some quilty eye candy (or, as my hubby refers to it, “quilt porn”!)…more blocks for my Southern Aurora English paper piecing project done while at the cottage recently.
About 3 years ago, my friend, Pat, gifted me a large container of quilt clips that she bought for me off Amazon after she found out how much I loved my Clover Wonder Clips. At the time I thought “how am I ever going to use that many clips?” Well, now that I’m doing this much English paper piecing they’ve become an EPP organizational dream and, yes, I used up all of them. The snack sized zipper baggies that I snagged at the dollar store keep each individual block’s components together until I’m ready to sew.
The Tula Pink tiny stripes and dots fabric line has become a personal favourite. I recently purchased the fat quarter bundle that includes a few Tiny Beast prints, but I’ll definitely have to get yardage of some of the tiny dots and stripes for my stash because they’re so versatile and the intense colours are right up my alley. They work so well with my stash fabrics that it’s like they belonged there all along! The added bonus is that the small scale of these prints work beautifully for the small segments used in EPP.
Enjoy!
