The Final Cherish Blocks
One of the projects that I started last summer was my Cherish English Paper Piecing (EPP) project. I originally saw this project made by Jenn of A Knotted Thread on Instagram, but the original pattern is by Tales of Cloth. I love how a larger print can be highlighted, and fussy-cut, in the centre hexagon, with the other surrounding fabrics complimenting the focus. You can get really creative with colour combinations and by fussy-cutting the coordinates as well. Like I said before, the fabric, after cutting, looks like Swiss cheese and is a pain in the butt to put away neatly.
Here are the final blocks that I’ve made for this EPP project and if you haven’t seen the previous blocks check here, here and here. Once again, as for all my EPP designs, it takes a while to figure out how to finish the edges because nothing is a straight edge so borders have to be well thought out, but I’ll definitely keep you in the loop as to how I finish them.
Can you guess which block had a fabric with 2 different dye lots?…that I didn’t see until the block was finished! (Hint, hint…it’s teal!)
